William L. Alling

Somersworth, NH – William Alling, 71, of Somersworth, died peacefully on February 22nd, 2023 at home with his family.

Bill was born on July 30th, 1951 in New Britain, CT, to the late John and Erma Alling. In 1971, at the age of 20, Bill joined the US Navy, and served until 1975. Bill loved to cook for his family, friends, and neighbors, gathering everyone together for outdoor BBQs and seafood. He worked as a Chief Engineer for a variety of hotels over a 40-year span.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cathy Alling, daughter Cindy, of Rochester, Son John and his wife Renee, of Lebanon, ME, grandsons John Alling Jr. and Kolton Delayne, and granddaughters Chelsey Kraklow and Rebecca Alling. He is also survived by his great granddaughter, Josie Kay Alling.
