Seabrook – Robert H. Demers, Sr., 95, of Seabrook, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lawrence, MA, on February 18, 1929, Robert was the son of the late Herbert and Clara (Marchand) Demers.

Robert was a hardworking man, completing classes at the McIntosh School of Business and building a career at Eastern Garage Door, Lawrence Plate and Window Glass Co., where he managed the auto glass division until his retirement in 1992. A longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrence, MA, Robert was deeply rooted in his community, coaching Little League and cheering on all Boston sports teams. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, and cherished family gatherings and every event involving his children and grandchildren.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his children Michele (Demers) Fuller, Patricia (Demers) Suski and her husband Dr. Edmund T. Suski, Robert H. Demers, Jr. and his wife Donna Letourneau Demers, and Michael Demers and his wife Peggy Krein Demers. He also leaves his grandchildren: Christopher Demers, Natalie (Guy) Clayton, Matthew Suski, Jennifer Suski, Jessica (Patrick) O’Beirne, Victor (Severine McElrath) Suski, Kelly (Cody) McAllister, Madelaine Demers, and Michael Demers; as well as his cherished 13 great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Robert was estranged from his second wife, Ginger Robinson Demers.

Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Janice L. (Mills) Demers, his brother, Eugene Demers, his sisters, Claire Santore, Virginia McCarthy, and Nancy Potvin. 

The funeral service will be private at the request of the family. 

Robert’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Rockingham VNA and Hospice Care for their exceptional care and support. We also deeply appreciate the dedication of the staff and volunteers of Rockingham County Meals on Wheels, whose kindness and service made a meaningful difference.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Robert H. Demers may be made to Rockingham VNA and Hospice Care or Rockingham County Meals on Wheels
