Robert Bennett “Bob” Sawyer

Stratham, NH – Robert Bennett “Bob” Sawyer, 86, of Stratham, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, January 20, 2019.

Bob loved gardening, fishing trips to Canada, Pease Greeters, driving by the ocean, Lago’s ice cream, and the love of his life and “number 1 girl” of 61 years the late Carol Sawyer, whom he met while working at Sawyer’s Pharmacy in Mundelein, Ill. Together they owned and operated The Candleberry Tree in Long Grove, IL.  In his later years he enjoyed bingo, puzzles, and being with family and friends. Bob was proud of his service in the Navy.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Marni Sawyer, Sue Sawyer and wife Kate Schreurs, Ginny Kupper and husband Fred, and Jean Sousa and husband Rick; his daughter-in-law Denise Sawyer; grandchildren, Nick, Emilie, Pam, Rob, John, James, Hayden, and Ricky and great-granddaughter Hannah.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Steve Sawyer; sister Sue Fogle, and brother Rhett Sawyer

A private celebration of life will be held this summer.
