Richard Hillsgrove Jr.

South Berwick, ME – Richard Hillsgrove Jr., 67, of South Berwick, died peacefully Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Hyder Family Hospice Unit in Dover, NH.

He was born June 11, 1948 in Dover, NH a son of the late Richard Hillsgrove Sr. and Barbara (Connor) Hillsgrove.

Raised in South Berwick he graduated from Marshwood High School with the Class of 1967. Richard was a former Police Sergeant for South Berwick, who enjoyed fishing, camping, listening to music, playing his guitar, NASCAR and spending time at his parent’s pool with family and friends.

He shared 40 years of marriage with his wife Brenda (Rowe) Hillsgrove of South Berwick.

In addition to his wife family members include his children, Qudell Richards and her husband Pete of Big Lake, AK, Ricky Grant and his fiancée Alicia of Anchorage, AK, Rodney Grant and his wife Jennifer of Fairbanks, AK, Telly Hillsgrove of South Berwick, Kylene Robinson and her husband Eric of Newmarket, NH; brother Robert Hillsgrove and his wife Jean of South Berwick; sisters, Karen Turmelle and her husband Don of Berwick, Kathy Staples and her husband Bill of Somersworth, NH; Many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

At Richard’s request all services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Friends of Hyder Family Hospice House, 285 County Farm Rd, Dover, NH 03820.
