Rochester

Rochester, NH - Paul E. Lucas, 73 of Rochester, NH passed away July 16, 2024, after a brief heroic battle with stage 4 bladder cancer.

Born August 04, 1950 in Marlboro, MA he was the son of the late Frank H. Lucas & Doris B. (Guilbert) Lucas He worked at various factories throughout the seacoast, as well as a backyard mechanic in his younger years, a classic car enthusiast, a dedicated Dale Earnhardt, NASCAR fan and became a Kyle Bush fan after Earnhardt's death at Daytona. He also loved the races at Lee Speedway, Star Speedway & Beechridge. Anyone that knew him has heard many of his racing stories. He loved oldies, drive-in movies, bingo, cards and especially Dunkin's coffee, where he spent a lot of time socializing with friends.

He was lovingly know as "Uncle Turkey" to his many nieces and nephews. He looked forward to tagging along on towing jobs with his grandson John Rawson Jr and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Lucas and husband John Rawson Sr of Rochester and two sons Matthew Lucas and J.D.Lucas of Rochester, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his first wife Joan Lucas of Lebanon, ME and a sister Janet (Lucas) Therrien & husband Alan, of Lebanon, ME/Floral City, FL a sister Rose Hall of Rutland, MA, a sister Lisa Mitchell of Bushnell, FL, a brother Scott Ricker of N Grafton, MA, a brother Michael Lucas-Medeiros & wife Jeanette of Hawaii along with many nieces & nephew.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Hector & Marion Guilbert of Marlboro, MA, his parents Frank Lucas of Westboro, MA & Doris Lucas of Exeter, NH, two step mom's Martha and Joanne of MA, a younger brother David Lucas of Sanford, ME, and six step-siblings, his second wife Deanna (Barron) Lucas.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday August 11th from 1 pm to 4 pm at 488 River Rd, Lebanon, ME 04027 at his sister Janet's backyard, with a private family burial in Springvale, ME on August 12, 2024 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards his final arrangements.
