Michael F. “Michi” Eichner

d. March 6, 2021

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Derry – Mike Eichner (Michi), 56, of Derry, NH, formerly of Malden, MA passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 with his family by his side.

Mike was born in Germany in 1964 to parents Elsa and Hans Eichner. He graduated from Malden High School in 1982. Mike really loved cars and spent most of his career working on and around them.

Throughout his life, Mike was a resident of Malden, Haverhill, Newburyport, and Derry, NH. He was a caring, easy going person who loved life and living it to the fullest. He loved his family and friends, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Mike was an avid sports fan and a fan of all of the Boston sports teams, but especially the Patriots.  He also loved building things and even created a skating rink in his side yard.

Mike was survived by wife Coleen; step-children Ryan, Joe and Ashley; mother Elsa; brother Thomas and his wife Pam; nephew Nicholas and fiancé Amy; niece Sydney and her boyfriend Brian; loving aunts and uncles; and several cousins including Gretchen, Bridgette, Erica, Gaubi, Tommy, Martina, Dieter, Moni, Thorsten, and their spouses; his very favorite German Shepherd Holly; and a lot of wonderful friends who were family to him.

Mike was predeceased by his father, Hans, who passed in March of 1981.

Mike’s family will not hold services at this time due to Covid and his request — please feel free to leave condolences as a comment on his GoFundMe page. In lieu of flowers, there is an option to make a donation on his GoFundMe page, which will be used for final expenses.

Three words that sum up Mike’s life would be — adventurous, loving, and family. He will be missed greatly.

What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.
