Danville, NH

Marsha Bogart, born on November 11, 1955, in Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 2nd, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the third child of the late Margaret (Peggy) and Harrison Freer. Marsha was one of nine children and is survived by six of her siblings: Becky, Peter, Lisa, Tracey, Claudia, and Tim. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Harrison and sister Mary.

Marsha attended "Our Lady of Lourdes" school and graduated from SUNY Alfred, where she met the love of her life, Chris Bogart. They were married on July 1, 1978, and shared a beautiful life together, full of joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion to raising a family

Marsha’s greatest passion was being a mother and improving her, and her family’s lives. She is survived by her husband Chris, her three children—Alexis (Cloud), Brett (married to Colleen with stepson Brendan), and Brandon—and her two treasured grandchildren, Dashiell and Sage. Marsha created a home where love and warmth flourished, and where friends and family were always welcome. Her children fondly remember their home as the gathering place for countless dinners, social events, and shared moments that brought people together.

Marsha’s kindness and generosity were felt by all who knew her. She was a steadfast source of emotional support, extending her heart and home to anyone in need. A lifelong learner, Marsha earned a master’s degree in library sciences and could always be found with a book in hand. She eagerly shared her knowledge and love for reading with friends, family, and her community.

Beyond her roles as a mother, Marsha was a true partner to her husband Chris. Together, they enjoyed long walks, bike rides, and listening to music, as well as supporting their children’s diverse passions—from soccer and dance to race cars and entrepreneurship. Chris will forever cherish the memories of their shared adventures and the deep connection they built over the years.

Marsha's legacy of kindness, learning, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
