Joseph J. Nasino

d. February 1, 2022

Berwick, ME – Beloved husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather Joseph John Nasino passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on February 1st 2022 after a very long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer that had metastasized to his brain.

Joe was born in Chester, PA December 9th, 1964 to Joseph A Nasino and Marietta (Kirkner) Nasino. He is survived by his wife Joanne (Dennesen) Nasino, his children Ian Nasino and his wife Erin, and his daughter Reigan Toof and her husband Brian. Additionally, his eight grandchildren Adriana, Trentin, Laretta, Jaxin, Piper, Sonny, Reddington, and Willow who all loved and adored their Pop. Joe is also survived by his mother Marietta Sharkey, siblings Lisa Medlock, her husband Len, Bob Nasino, Scott Nasino and his wife Veronica; Stephanie Fiano and her husband Vic, and Kristen Kerns and her husband Adam. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws of the same.

Joe was passionate about more things than could be listed here. At the top of this list was his strong faith in God and family. Also this list included his patriotism and love for his country which led him to be an Army Reservist. Joe was always ready to have long discussions regarding his passion for God and country, its politics and of course his favorite football team the New England Patriots.

Joe’s innovative skills allowed him to understand and master any subject that he chose, which gave him the opportunity to work in Management positions in Manufacturing. From a young age he spent many years working for Facemate, Velcro, Lonza Biologics, and Conproco. In these positions he was able to work directly with those he managed and never hesitated to do the work that he was asking his employees to do when the need arose. His employees and coworkers admired him and had the utmost respect for him.

Joe’s family has been encouraged to be self aware of their own bodies during their time on this planet. Early diagnosis can do so much to improve one’s odds of beating cancer. This loss will be enough to remind us all to cherish what time we have.

As a favorite band of Joe’s it feels fitting to quote Pink Floyd’s Breathe “Long you live and high you fly. Smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cry. All you touch and all you see. Is all your life will ever be. ”

In lieu of a formal service the family has decided to wait until summer to have a Celebration of Life. A celebration seems much more fitting for a man of his legacy. Details will be posted here when they are available.
