John F. Stinson

Rochester, NH - John Stinson, 70, of Rochester, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He was born in Bath, NY to the late Glen and Mary Stinson. 

John was preceded in death by his former wife, Charlotte Stinson. Together they had four children, and is survived by Julia Casey of Cairo, GA, William Stinson, Warren Stinson of Sabattus, ME and Glen Stinson of Mechanicsville, VA. 

John later met and married and is survived by Kathy E. Stinson and her two children Melanie Lemonte of Port St. Lucie, FL and Mathew Dawes of Rochester, NH. 

John was an Air Force veteran, he worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years then moved to Norfolk, VA where he worked at the shipyard until his retirement. 

He was a loving family man who cherished time spent with his many grandchildren. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and around the house doing handyman jobs. He was an avid fisherman and a true New England sports fan at heart. He loved to cheer on his favorite NASCAR driver Rylan Blaney, while relaxing sipping his famous Grouse with his beloved puppy, Oreo, by his side. 

He will forever be missed and the memories made with him will be cherished.
