Georgetown, MA - In loving memory,
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Donna Marie Hollis, who was called home on Tuesday August 6 2024 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. A loving and devoted mother; treasured grandmother and cherished friend who touched the lives of everyone she met with her unwavering strength, grace and kindness. Born on February 11 1951 in Chelsea, MA, the daughter of the late Leo Donabedian, and Louise Donabedian (Cooper). Donna was raised in and graduated from Chelsea High school in 1969.
Throughout her illness, Donna displayed a strength and courage that were nothing short of extraordinary. Even in the face of tremendous adversity, she continued to share her love with those around her, offering warmth, comfort, kindness and laughter in every moment Her love was a lighthouse that guided her family and friends through the darkest of times and her courage was an inspiration to all who witnessed her journey.
Beyond her illness, Donna was known for her love of reading, dancing, singing, cleaning, wax melts and talking with people for hours on end, whether it was to guide them, comfort them, or just to put a smile on their face. She loved to catch up, with people she has met throughout her life, to reminisce about the memories once made.
There was never a dull moment at any holiday or family gathering when she was around her laughter was contagious and will never be forgotten. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she has touched and all the memories she created by those who loved her. As a mother, Donna was endlessly nurturing, understanding, loving and supportive also pretty tough when needed. Donna and her daughter Jolene had the most loving, caring and supportive bond for each other, best friends and partners in crime. She was the biggest fan of her grandsons who call her BAMMY, there is nothing in this world that could make her more proud of the men they are becoming.
